Leeds Museums and Galleries Development Trust is a charity dedicated to supporting arts, culture, heritage, and science across Leeds.  We work to enhance community wellbeing by helping local museums, galleries, and cultural organisations thrive.

The Trust is actively applying for grants from different sources, raising funds from digital donation points, and developing membership and legacy-giving  programmes.

We then distribute funds raised as grants, loans, and other forms of financial support to museums and galleries in Leeds that share our mission to enrich public life. Our focus is on initiatives that deliver meaningful value to communities, promote inclusivity, and safeguard Leeds’ cultural heritage for future generations.

As a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), our trustees are passionate advocates for the city’s creative and historical landscape. They bring diverse experience and expertise to ensure all funds are used effectively and transparently.

Whether it’s preserving heritage buildings, funding innovative exhibitions, or supporting grassroots community projects, our goal is simple: to help culture flourish in Leeds.
